We’re Rebecca, Martin and Alaric Mears, bird enthusiasts based in the beautiful county of Northumberland, England.

Our Bird Box

We have a female blue tit who has made her nest in our bird box. Watching her daily activities, from nest building to egg laying and (hopefully!) raising chicks, has been an incredible experience.

We share this journey through our YouTube live stream, broadcasting the nest 24/7 (The link is on the main page) so people around the world can witness the magic of blue tit life in real-time.

What Are Blue Tits?

Blue tits (Cyanistes caeruleus) are small, colorful birds native to Europe and western Asia. They’re known for their:

• Acrobatic feeding behaviour
• Cavity-nesting habits (perfect for bird boxes!)
• Cheerful songs and calls
